Bethesda Accuses Mick Gordon of Distorting Truth; Doom's Composer Doesn't Back Down

Bethesda has responded to the allegations of the composer of Doom Eternal, but also does not intend to tolerate harassment of either him or id Software employees.

Mick Gordon heavily incited the fans of Doom by aiming serious accusations against producer Marty Stratton. A response from id Software and Bethesda was only a matter of time.

The studio and publisher by no means apologized to the composer. In a post published on Twitter Bethesda accuses Gordon of distorting the truth in the context of both the production process of Doom Eternal, as well as in reference to id Software's team members Marty Stratton and Chad Mossholder (chief sound engineer). The company also expressed its support for the developers.

Bethesda assured that it is aware of the case and the content of the accusations published by Gordon. According to the publisher, the composer presented "incomplete" facts to portray the case in his favor.

The publisher is ready to respond to these allegations with "full and complete documentary evidence," which will be disclosed if necessary under "proper procedures." Bethesda also does not intend to tolerate threats and harassment of id Software employees or Mick Gordon. Any such action will be met with a "prompt and appropriate" response from the company.

In response, Mick Gordon repeated his accusations against Stratton (via Twitter). So it looks like the case may indeed end up in court.
