In 2023, Cyberpunk 2077 has received a large 2.0 patch. Key changes in the update 2.0

1. The most significant change, in our opinion, is the complete overhaul of the police system to make it more realistic. Crimes you commit affects how many police stars you end up with. The stars determine whether it will be single police cars pursuing, additional police forces creating roadblocks, or an elite MaxTac unit led by a mini-boss. In every case, the player has to lose the pursuit for the police chase to end.
2. An option was added that allows vehicle combat. The vehicles can be equipped with onboard weapon systems - you don't have to rely on your own armament only.
3. Perk and skill trees received a complete overhaul. The modifications are intended to offer more genuinely useful abilities. The game will allow you to redistribute collected development points of characters from pre-patch saves. Cyberpunk 2077 will also feature an additional Relic perk and skill tree which is closely linked to Phantom Liberty expansion.
4. The implants were reworked and their prices were also refreshed.
5. There are 3 new radio stations to listen to while driving, including a Growl FM station with songs prepared by the community.
6. Additionally, there have been fixes and changes to the user interface, rewards, items (e.g. new classification), crafting or AI of enemies.
7. Version 2.0 also offers improvements to graphics and performance, including the addition of DLSS 3.5 and FSR3 systems (PC).

Do you need Phantom Liberty for update 2.0?

1. The release date for version 2.0 of Cyberpunk 2077 is set to September 21, 2023. This is one of the biggest and most important updates since the game's release in December 2020.
2. The release of the 2.0 update coincides with the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion for PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. Update 2.0 is available to all owners of the base game - you don't need Phantom Liberty to play with this patch. The game will be upgraded to the 2.0 version even if you only own the base game without the expansion.
3. Nevertheless, some new features and novelties will be available only to owners of Phantom Liberty. These include increasing the level cap to 60, new vehicles and weapons, or courier missions.
