Space is unimaginably large, which means that feeling lonely shouldn’t be anything surprising there. This is the exact experience that the developers from Hello Games are going for in their latest No Man’s Sky expedition entitled Adrift. Part of the adventure are milestones that require specific activities to be completed. One of the more challenging ones in this update (at least at first glance) is undoubtedly “All that you survey”. To get it, an explorer is asked to summit 1600u mountain. Let’s see what’s the easiest way to obtain it.

How to summit 1600u mountain in NMS

Milestones in NMS are objectives that players have to pursue to discover what the expedition has to offer. In Adrift, there is one that requires you to reach greater heights – quite literally as to get it, it is necessary to stand on an elevation of 1600u. This is not as easy as it may seem, so let’s see what can be done to obtain it.

Clever players have found several ways to make this task more attainable:

  1. Upon reaching rendezvous 3, land on one of the neighbouring mountains which should award you with completion this milestone.
  2. Some fans have noticed a platform in the vicinity of rendezvous point 2, that someone has built. It is just above 1600u, which should allow you to complete the objective.
  3. Another way to cheat out this achievement is to build a base with a “stairway to heaven”. Basically, lay as many stairs as possible to exceed 1600u height. Of course, starting on top of a mountain will speed up the process.
  4. Alternatively, if you find a hill just shy of 1600u, you can use a jetpack to attain the missing altitude.

As you can see there is a lot that can be done to achieve this feat. Citing classic, “life finds a way”, even if it’s not intended method envisioned by the developers. Hopefully, one way or another you will find a mountain that’s high enough. Good luck!
