WW2 Rebuilder

WW2 Rebuilder is a simulation game in which we rebuild cities ruined during World War II. The game was developed by the Polish studio Madnetic Games.

Mechanics

In WW2 Rebuilder we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). We begin the process of rebuilding cities like London, destroyed as a result of war, by tidying them. To do this, we have to clean up the rubble, demolish the remains of destroyed buildings, cut down wrecks abandoned on the streets and finally collect surviving bricks that may still be useful to us. Although many things can be done here manually, using a hammer, crowbar or gas torch, often we have no other choice but to control heavy equipment, including pushers and bulldozers.

When a given area has been brought to relative order by us, we can finally proceed with its reconstruction. Using the available resources, we can build new houses, factories or railway stations, as well as renovate buildings that are still suitable for their original purpose, filling holes in the walls or laying new roofs.

Our work is not limited to construction, as we are also responsible for matters such as maintaining railway tracks or the condition of streets and sidewalks. Besides, we must bear in mind not only the practicality of the buildings or places we construct or renovate, but also their aesthetic values.

As we progress, we also have the opportunity to learn more about individual cities and their inhabitants, and even experience firsthand war-time attacks, presented in the form of so-called "flashbacks" (short scenes showing events from the past).
