Red Dead Redemption 2: Legendary Elk - maps, tips Red Dead Redemption 2 Guide and Walkthrough

To find the Legendary Elk in RDR2, you're going to need to travel to the north-eastern corner of the map. After a successful hunt, you obtain the materials needed to craft a jacket, moccasins and trinket (Moose Antler Trinket).

In Red Dead Redemption 2 you can also find the Legendary Elk. It is located on the very top of the northeastern part of the map.

What weapon to fight the Elk with?

You have to go to the elk with a long-distance weapon.

Sniper Rifle - you can shoot from a rifle from a long distance, but you need to get an accurate headshot.

Bow - accurate, but not very powerful. You have to shoot several arrows at the Elk.

Shotgun - finish it with the shotgun if it's close enough.

What does the fight with the Elk look like?

The elk is a shy but not very smart creature. If it starts to run away from you, it will often run in your direction. This is the perfect moment to shoot at it with a shotgun.

What can I do with the Elk hide?

If you go to the Trapper you can create:

Legendary Moose Hunting Jacket - you need wolf and elk hides and 24 dollars,

Legendary Moose Moccasins - you need elk hide and 22 dollars.

If you go to a Fence, you can craft a Moose Antler Trinket. This will increase your health by 10%.
