Darkest Dungeon 2 is a rougelike horror game set during the apocalypse. In the harsh conditions, aside from fighting monsters, the player needs to take care of the needs and relationships of the party. You can use 4 adventurers, one per class at once, chosen from a larger pool. The first DLC for the game added two more playable characters to the existing roster, Duelist, who is available automatically, and Crusader, who is unlocked through a dedicated questline. A part of the mission is to use a Tattered Banner. Below we explain how to do it.

How to Get and Use Tattered Banner in Darkest Dungeon 2

Crusader is the newest addition to the Darkest Dungeon 2 cast. As a character from the previous instalment of the game, he’s well-loved by long-time fans. As a powerful close-combat fighter with the ability to support his squad, he’s worth the effort needed to obtain him.

While the quest to unlock Crusader has many requirements and might take a long time to complete, luckily, most of the specific tasks aren’t very complicated. That is the case with getting a Tattered Banner. This item is a drop from killing soldiers for a first time.

Once you’ve managed to loot it, make sure to equip it to one of your characters as a combat item. Take it with you to a Resistance Encounter and use it on the Lost Battalion Bishop enemy during the battle.

This step is necessary for the Bishop to drop an Unique Reliquary. You will need the item in order to deliver it to an inn and exchange for a Sanctified Scroll to progress to the next stage of the quest.
