The attack on the Burgh Castle was a success. Rued was defeated and his entire clan was wiped out. Oswald gained the respect of his brothers and will soon marry Valdis, thus becoming King of East Anglia. Eivor travels to Elmenham to take part in the ceremony and the wedding.
Rewards: 3400 XP.
Speak to Oswald
The wedding will take place in Elmenham. Once you are there, speak to Oswald; you will find him in front of the church. After the conversation a cut-scene with the wedding ceremony will begin.
Enjoy the festivities
It is time to take part in numerous wedding games, such as (drunk) archery contest of shooting clay vases or a drinking contest. When you win you will receive some Silver.
At some point Finnr will climb the roof and you will have to take him down from there. Talk to him and then help him get down. Then talk to Oswald and participate in his speech.
If you killed Reud in A Fury from the Sea, the wedding will be over and Finnr will join Eivor's raiders. However, if you have spared Rued, he will now appear at the wedding, boiling with rage and seeking vengeance.
At this point you will have to make another important decision - who will fight Rued.
- Eivor fights for the king: Rued is killed by Eivor and the newly crowned king Oswald will be pleased with this. He will swear allegiance to the Raven Clan. What's more, Finnr will join Eivor's crew;
- Oswald fights: Oswald will fight and win, thus gaining the respect and appreciation of all the guests. He will not kill Rued. Instead, he exiles the man from his kingdom. Finnr will be so impressed by the king's feat that he will stay by his side and will not join Eivor.
You have already defeated Rued once, so you know his attacks like the back of your hand. If you decide to fight for the king just take him down again - this time for good. After the fight, talk to Finnr to finish the task. As areward for completing this mission you will receive 3400 XP.
