TEVI

TEVI is an action platformer metroidvania. It was developed by two independent studios, CreSpirit and GemaYue, also responsible for Rabi-Rabi.

Plot

TEVI takes place in a fantasy world inhabited not only by adorable animals, but also angels, demons and other creatures. The game's protagonist travels this beautiful though dangerous land, facing numerous threats along the way.

Mechanics

TEVI is a side-scroller. The player traverses diverse and interconnected locations (such as beautiful forests, snowy peaks, lava-filled undergrounds or industrial complexes), which together make up a vast world. Heading right, the protagonist jumps onto platforms, avoids environmental obstacles and traps, as well as faces numerous opponents. These include regular enemies and powerful bosses. Combat is dynamic and forces the player to stay mobile, avoiding enemy strikes and swarms of projectiles while answering with their own attacks; which can also be chained into flashy, deadly combos.

The playable character can be customized to match the player's playstyle. Enemies can be dispatched in melee combat or with ranged weaponry. Progressing through the game lets us upgrade our gear and develop our character; this lets us face greater challenges and reach previously inacessible areas.

Technical aspects

The visuals of TEVI were made with use of pixel art, the artstyle being colorful and cartoonish.
