The Noblest of Man, and a Woman is one of the more complex side quests in Red Dead Redemption 2. Your goal is to track down a few ex-gunslingers, ask them a few questions and take a picture of them. This mission requires you to travel a lot. You will also participate in fights, including a few duels.

Starting the mission

Reach Valentine town - there, you will be able to start this mission. Arthur can reach this place shortly after starting the second chapter. A Stranger's question mark will appear in one of the saloons. Speak with the people sitting at the bar.

You get 4 photos of ex-gunslingers. Open your satchel and examine all pictures. Remember to flip every single one of them (by pressing the right button). This gives you locations of all the gunslingers. You can reach them in any order.

Flaco Hernandez

Flaco Hernandez is found in Del Lobo hideout located in Cairn Lake. This is the north-west part of the map - don't forget to take warm clothes with you.

Members of Del Lobo will attack you after a short "introduction". You can surprise them by shooting the gang members from afar.

Flaco is in the main building. Put your weapon down - this is the only way to make Hernandez leave the building. You will now have to duel Flasco. Press the right trigger only about halfway and shoot once the bar is full. Kill Flaco before he shoots first. You can hit any of his body parts.

Approach the gunslinger's corpse. Take out the camera from your inventory - this item is in the same slot as binoculars. Take a picture of dead Flaco Hernandez.

Search Flaco's corpse - you will find Flaco's Revolver, a unique weapon. You can also check the cabin. Inside, you can find, i.e. a Cigarette card and a stash with a treasure map (under the bed).

Emmet Granger

Emmet Granger runs a farm located south from the gang's hideout. Reach that place and speak with the man.

You now have to help Emmet on his farm. Get into the pig pen. Pick up manure with the pitchfork and move it into the wheelbarrow. After collecting all the manure you have to take the Wheelbarrow to the place where manure is stored.

The next step is to blow the manure up. Use a dynamite - set it on fire and throw at the manure.

This incident makes Emmet Granger angry. He challenges Arthur to a duel. Press the right trigger only about halfway and shoot once the bar is full. Kill Emmet before he shoots first. You can hit any of his body parts.

Approach the gunslinger's corpse. Take out the camera from your inventory - this item is in the same slot as binoculars. Take a picture of dead Emmet Granger.

Search Emmet's corpse - you will find Granger's Revolver, a unique weapon.

Billy Midnight

Go to Rhodes town to look for Billy Midnight. Reach the train station. Speak with the station clerk. Ask him about Billy (the yellow dialog option).

Get into the train that has just stopped on the station. Keep moving through the carts until you reach the bar cart. There, you will find Billy Midnight (the picture above).

Billy starts to escape - follow him. Keep moving through the carts. After a while you will have to climb on a cart. This is where you will catch Billy. The man challenges you to a duel. Press the right trigger only about halfway and shoot once the bar is full. Kill Billy before he shoots first. You can hit any of his body parts.

Approach the gunslinger's corpse. Take out the camera from your inventory - this item is in the same slot as binoculars. Take a picture of dead Billy Midnight.

Search Emmet's corpse - you will find Midnight's Revolver, a unique weapon.

Black Belle

Black Belle is in Canebreak Manor located west from Saint Denis. Get closer to the manor to speak with the woman.

Help Black Belle in eliminating the bounty hunters who will arrive near the manor. Attack those who are the closest and don't waste too much time - new enemies will keep coming.

Some bounty hunters will try to use a Gatling gun. Kill them before they reach the wagon with the Gatling gun or right after they start shooting. You can use your carbine and aim at heads without leaving your cover.

Speak with Black Belle once every bounty hunter is dead. The woman agrees to take a picture. Take out the camera from your inventory - this item is in the same slot as binoculars.

Don't forget to search corpses of every bounty hunter. You should also check the empty building. Inside, you can find, i.e. a Cigarette card (in one of the drawers).

Additional note - Be prepared that after defeating the bounty hunters who wanted to capture Black Belle, Arthur will be attacked by them from time to time. Bounty hunters will want to avenge their dead friends. Every time they attack you, Arthur can start fighting them (don't let the enemies surround you!) or start running away.

The second meeting with Levin

The quest doesn't end after taking four pictures of the ex-gunslingers. You can continue this side mission in chapter 4. Wait for the quest marker to appear in Valentine, in the same (eastern) saloon in which you have started the quest. Go there and ask the bartender about Calloway's and Levin's whereabouts.

The bartender tells you that the men are on the ship in Saint Denis. Go there and meet with Levin. You receive a new mission - find another gunslinger, Slim Grant.

Slim Grant

You can examine the photo of Slim Grant that you received from Levin. Go to Annesburg. Find the local jailhouse and get some info from one of the deputies.

Begin your journey to the bandit camp west of the city. When you get there, you have to deal with all the bandits - it's best to take them out by surprise. Untie Slim Grant, who is bound to a tree. Stow him on the hero's horse and head for Brandywine Drop.

Final confrontation with Calloway

Brandywine Drop is a small clearing adjacent to the waterfall. Remove Slim Grant from your horse. A longer cut-scene will be triggered.

At the very end of the mission you have to defeat Calloway in a one-on-one duel. The rules of the mini-game are the same as always. You must prepare to draw the revolver and quickly hit Calloway before he shoots.

When you have finished your mission, be sure to search Calloway's body. You can get a unique weapon - Calloway's Revolver.
