Find the cauldron's trail
Go to the location indicated on the world map, near the Jormungandra tree. Once you're there, you'll notice the ambush site - it's time to investigate the footprints and find out what happened to the cauldron.
- The first clue is on an overturned cart - the Aegir crest;
- You'll find the second clue is on the road, by one of the wheels, a hole had been dug so the wagon would break its axle;
- You will find the third and final clue by a tree - something heavy was dragged here.
Find and take the cauldron
Follow the broken trees, suggesting the direction where the Jotuns dragged the cauldron. When you come across a trail of blood on the road, examine it.
Continue ahead, and you will come to Skrymir's Mitten. Enter the artifact's interior through a narrow crack.
Walk ahead keeping to the right. The left entrance is locked, but when you stand as shown in the image above, you'll see through the Jotuns illusion and spot the previously hidden passage.
Go to the next room, eliminate an enemy and move the bookcase to reveal a passage. Go on.
You will end up in a large room with several guards and one elite opponent. If you haven't raised the alarm, you can sneak amid the Jotuns and eliminate them silently. Otherwise, defeat them all in open combat and climb the ladder to this location's upper level.
Turn left and walk across the suspension bridge to the other side of the room. Go down the stairs below and defeat some Jotuns.
Next to the iron grating, on the bottom right, you will notice a narrow passage. Slip to the other side.
Approach the wooden table and take the cauldron. The mission will end, and you will be rewarded with 3,400 XP.
