The County Council begins its proceedings. There are three candidates: Hunwald, Aelfgar and Herefrith, but only one of them will become ealdorman.
Rewards: 3400 XP.
Speak with Acha
Go to Lincoln, to the market to speak with Acha. The woman will inform Eivor that the council will soon begin and invite him to join them.
Twelve authorized lords of Lincolnshire have already voted, but no winner has been selected. Each candidate received four votes, so Eivor will have to cast the deciding vote.
If you want, you can still talk to people in the Hall to gather some additional information about all candidates.
When you are ready, come to the table with the rolls of paper on it. Before you choose the next Lincolnshire ealdorman, think carefully because your decision will have some consequences.
- Hunwald: if you vote for a young Hunwald, the Bishop with his troops will attack the meeting room and reveal himself as a member of the Ancient Order. Hunwald will later ask Eivor to prepare a place for his fiancée in Raven Harbour. You will of course gain an alliance with Lincolnshire;
- Aelfgar: When you choose him, Herefrith with her troops will attack the meeting room and reveal himself as a member of the Ancient Order. Hunwald, despite his nervousness, will agree to help Aelfgar to stop the bishop. When the bishop is defeated, Aelfgar will say that you will have an ally in him from now on. Hunwald, together with its Swan, will join the settlement of Raven Harbor;
- Herefrith: choosing a bishop for the ealdorman will end the Lincolnshire plot immediately (you will not go on the A Sword-Shower in Anecastre mission). Herefrith will offer you an alliance and his true identity will be revealed later. Hunwald will live with his Swan in the Norman settlement of Brimsgy.
Eliminate Herefrith's guards
If you have not chosen Herefrith as your future ealdorman, he will call his soldiers and attack the meeting room. You must eliminate all enemy guardsmen. After a short cutscene, the mission will end, and you will receive 1,700 XP as a reward.
