Kurt Hansen is one of the antagonists from the Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. In our guide you'll find a description of the fight with this boss. We explain when Hansen may appear, what all his main attacks are, and how to effectively weaken the leader of the Barghest group.

Fight with Hansen - cooperating with Reed

1. As a reminder, in the Firestarter main mission you'll face an important choice about allying with Songbird or Reed. If you have decided to help Reed, Kurt Hansen will appear as a boss in the final part of the mission.
2. After the fights in the stadium, you'll arrive at the square. A large gate will be opened and Kurt Hansen will appear, along with two comrades.

1. You should start the fight by eliminating the comrades. They are significantly less durable, so they can die relatively quickly.

1. In the first part of the fight, use covers to avoid bullets from Hansen. Look out for attacks not only from the lower level, but also from the upper balconies.
2. It might be a good idea to hack Hansen in order to sabotage his weapons or temporarily stun him.

1. After Hansen has less than 70% of his health bar left, he'll aim for close combat - he can then easily catch V with his melee weapon.
2. Try to stop the boss and expose him to your attacks, or run away from Hansen's charges and resume attacks after getting far enough away from him.

1. The boss is resilient, so expect a slow depletion of his health bar. Heal or hide after receiving major damage, especially if you find yourself on the verge of death after a Hansen melee attack.
2. Kurt Hansen will leave behind a loot. Among them are three iconic weapons - the Fang knife, the Wild Dog machine gun, and the Bald Eagle revolver.
