After the attack on the Tamworth Fortress, the Sons of Rangar with the help of Eivor and Siegfried managed to partially overthrow the power of the former King Burgard. Upon learning that the leader of an allied clan is dealing with Burgred behind their backs, Eivor decides to talk to her and get all relevant information out of her.

Rewards: 1 700 XP.

Regroup with Siegfried

You will find Siegfried in the company of the Sons of Ragnar near Tonnastadir fortress. Siegfried will decide to speak to the leader Tonna himself, without the presence of the Sons of Ragnar.

During the conversation, Tonna will state her price for information. You can pay the full fee, half of it (option on at least level 2 charisma), or refuse to pay.

1. By paying it whole or half of it, you will receive relevant information and two possible locations where the fugitive King Burgred may be staying. Moreover, you will be welcome in Tonnastadir from now on;
2. If you refuse to pay for the first time, you will get a second chance to change your mind, but you will have to pay 520 silver coins - the discount is no longer valid. If you disagree, Tonna will close the gates of the fortress, and you will be considered an enemy. You will have to force your way into the fortress and look for clues on your own.

Once you have the clues, go back to Siegfried and the brothers to report to them. You will find them at Lyftmere's Pond. Talk to them to complete this quest – you will receive 1 700 XP as a reward.
