Strauss Zelnick once again assured that Rockstar Games strives for "perfection" with Grand Theft Auto 6.

The CEO of Take-Two Interactive appeared on CNBC and was asked about the certainty of the new release date for GTA VI. Zelnick admitted that delays in the gaming industry do happen and this also affects Rockstar. Nevertheless, the devs and the publisher are sure that the new Grand Theft Auto will be released by the end of 2025.

The American stressed that the internal postponement of the game's debut isn't solely about bugs and fixes. A title like GTA 6 is also about creating something that "no one has seen before," and Rockstar Games strives for perfection:

However in the case of an extraordinary title, for which there are extraordinary expectations, it's not really about bugs. It's about creating an experience that no one has seen before, and Rockstar Games strives for perfection. Perfection is hard to measure

Such assurances would be met with skepticism in any other scenario, and it could be considered justified even in this case. Nonetheless, Zelnick is right about the huge expectations for the new Rockstar Games project. Recalling the ridiculous number of views on the first Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer from December and the massive sales of GTA 5, there are hardly any other games that can compete, except for Minecraft and possibly Tetris.

It's not surprising that Rockstar and Take-Two want to ensure that the successor to GTA 5, which fans have been waiting for over 10 years, will be as close to "perfection" as possible.
