The choice takes place in the final stage of the Wedding Horns quest provided you spared Rued during A Fury from the Sea mission. After the wedding ceremony, everyone goes to the feast. However, an unexpected guest appears - it is Rued himself.

Who should fight Rued - Oswald or Eivor?

1. Eivor fights for the king: Rued is killed by Eivor and the newly crowned king Oswald will be pleased with this. He will swear allegiance to the Raven Clan. What's more, Finnr will join Eivor's crew;
2. Oswald fights: Oswald will fight and win, thus gaining the respect and appreciation of all the guests. He will not kill Rued. Instead, he exiles the man from his kingdom. Finnr will be so impressed by the new king's feat that he will stay by his side and will not join Eivor.
