Gray Zone Warfare has just received a new massive patch with number 1. While we have witnessed many smaller hotfixes in the previous days, this one is quite enormous. It fixes and adjusts more than 200 aspects of the game. You can read patch notes here. However, not everything is ideal. Many fans report that after the recent update, they can’t loot their own bodies. It is funny because...

One of the fixes introduced in this patch was supposed to solve this bug. As we can read on Discord, one of the main aspects of Patch 1 public tests was:

Players are unable to loot their own body/bodies disappearing after death (both players and AI)

Moreover, in the patch notes we can read that:

[FIXED] An issue where players were unable to open the loot menu when looting AI.

It seems that something has gone wrong, as more and more players report that they can’t loot their own bodies. Introducing big updates is dangerous because they may cause some new problems. It seems that the latest patch made the looting corpses bug even worse, at least for players’ own characters.

Games become more and more complex, computers on the other hand have different components and configurations. These make optimalization quite a challenging task. It is also one of the reasons why developers use early access – to test. While playing an unfinished product, as in the case of GZW, we have to be patient. For now, let’s wait for a hotfix, which hopefully will be released soon enough.
