Dungeon Siege - DS1 Difficulty Patch v.1.1 - Game mod - Download

DS1 Difficulty Patch is a mod for Dungeon Siege, created by  Starfall.

Opis:

The mod corrects skill levels for monsters so they do the proper amount of damage when Legends of Aranna is installed.

Why? One of the features that the Legends of Aranna expansion pack for Dungeon Siege introduced is that skill levels actually affect damage values. This helped add some value to skill levels, which previously were not very important. However, many of the original DS1 enemies from the Kingdom of Ehb and Utraean Peninsula campaigns never had their skill levels properly set. This resulted in many sections of the original campaigns being extremely easy when LoA was installed.

This mod fixes all that. Monsters have been updated to use the correct skill levels, and the game is as challenging as it was meant to be. Once again you can relive the terror of the Goblin Warrens and scream obscenities when your party gets wiped in the elevator room.

This mod is not intended to make the game more difficult than vanilla DS1, but instead is a patch to simply make LoA as difficult as vanilla DS1 was intended to be. It does not modify the global formulas.gas file, change drop rates or monster A.I. It should be compatible with all other mods, however any other mod which also overwrites the vanilla monster files will take priority.

You must have Legends of Aranna installed for this mod to take effect. Although you can install it without LoA, it won't do anything unless LoA is installed as well.

Installation Instructions

Locate the Resources folder in your Dungeon Siege installation directory

For Original Disk: C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Dungeon Siege/Resources

For Steam Users: C:/Program Files/?Steam/steamapps/common/Dungeon Siege?/Resources

Extract DS1_Difficulty_Patch.dsres? to the Resources folder
